The Ruddock Performing Arts Centre is committed to protecting your privacy, and takes its responsibilities regarding the security
of customer information very seriously. This policy deals with personally identifiable information (known as ‘Data’) that may be
collected on our website or when you contact us in person or by telephone.
WHY WE ASK FOR YOUR INFORMATION
Whenever you book a course or purchase tickets at The Ruddock Performing Arts Centre, we’ll ask for your personal
information (name, address, postcode, contact telephone number and email address). We request this information for administration and research
purposes - this is outlined further under ‘What We Do With Your Data’.
Online ticket purchases can only be carried out once you have registered an account on our website. When you create your account we’ll
ask for certain details (including your address) as a mandatory requirement, these details are also required when booking over the telephone.
In addition to the reasons outlined above, this is for payment security as well as your personal security; so we can send your tickets if you’ve
asked for them to be posted out to you, identify you if you’re picking up tickets at Sales & Information or if you need tickets duplicating
should you lose them (proof of your identity, such as a utility bill, must be provided).
You have every right to choose not to give us your personal details. However, if the event, film or course for which you have booked is subsequently
cancelled or postponed we will be unable to notify you of any changes. If you lose your tickets and we do not have a record of your details
we are unable to duplicate them and, unfortunately, you will be required to pay again.

WHAT WE DO WITH YOUR DATA
We use the personal information that you and others provide in order to gain a better understanding of our visitors and to improve the services
we offer. To allow us to demonstrate impact locally and nationally successfully, it is crucial to show where our audience is coming from, whether
we are reaching our target body, and the impact outside the schools where we are based. If you do not want to give the full information listed
above, we would appreciate it if you could provide us with your postcode and surname. This information will be used only for statistical reporting
and audience research.
Only upon your request or agreement will we use your personal information for marketing purposes. This is in accordance with the Data Protection
Act, which stipulates that you need to opt in to mailing lists rather than us adding you automatically and requiring you to opt out. If you
would like to change the information provided to us or feel that the details we have are incorrect you may update your information by calling
on 0121 472 9585, emailing email@example.com or by logging into your account online.
The Ruddock Performing Arts Centre will not sell, trade, or rent to others any of your personal information provided unless
we have had your informed consent to do so or unless we are legally obliged to do so.
WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?
The data we collect from you is held on a secure server. Only authorised people have physical access to the server, and access levels to the
data held within our ticketing software are managed by security systems within the programme.
The Ruddock Performing Arts Centre does not store payment card details. Card payments for our online facility are managed by
Secure Trading/Lloyds TSB Cardnet on our behalf. All personal financial data is protected by our systems. At no point during an online transaction
do our staff or suppliers have access to your details and whether you buy your tickets from our website, over the phone or in person these details
are not retained anywhere on our system.
We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely.
